Community Donations and Grants

Council has available limited financial assistance to support community organisations that make a positive contribution to the quality of life in the Goondiwindi Regional Council.

Council has introduced a Community Donations Policy and a Community Grants Policy to provide a platform on which decisions regarding allocation of donations and grants are to be based.

Community Donations Program:

  • Applications may be made at any time throughout the year.
  • Donations will only be given up to and including $450. Application for funds of $451 or more should be made under Council's Community Grants Program.

Community Grants Program:

  • Organisations seeking funding of $451 or more are required to provide Council with detailed information regarding the proposed use of the funds and how this use would benefit the Community.
  • Funding will be provided on a 'project' or 'program' basis.
  • Only one (1) initial funding round will be called in June each year for the following financial year, with a subsequent round to be called in November each year subject to funds availability.

All applications will be assessed on merit against eligibility and selection criteria. Such applications will be assessed in an open and equitable manner. The level of assistance available is limited by Council's budget decision. No applicant can be guaranteed funding nor can any applicant be guaranteed to receive the full amount requested.

Application forms for both programs are available below or at all of Council's administration offices. Applications should address the specified criteria, and must be lodged with Council. Further information can be obtained by contacting Council Administration on 4671 1122.

Information on possible sources for external funding can be obtained HERE.
