Dog Registration

Goondiwindi Regional Council encourages responsible dog ownership.

All dogs are required to be registered with Council. Failure to do so may result in fines being issued to the keeper of the dog.

Local Law "Keeping and Control of Animals" requires registration of:

  1. All dogs over three (3) months of age in the former Councils of Goondiwindi Town and Waggamba Shire; and
  2. All dogs over six (6) months of age in the former Inglewood Shire Council areas.

Expiry of Registration

Dog registration expires every year on the 31st of December. Renewals for all registered dogs are issued the following January.
