It's Cooling Off In Yelarbon
Residents of Yelarbon are set to benefit following the announcement of a $22,000 grant to assist with installation of air conditioning in the local Hall.
The Yelarbon R.S.L. Memorial Hall Restoration Committee Inc. made the successful application to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
The main function centre in Yelarbon, the air conditioning will provide a real benefit to the community in summer months.
Council's Mayor, Graeme Scheu, says without the ongoing commitment of the Committee, projects such as this would not be possible.
"With around 20 members the Restoration Committee does an exceptional job in managing the hall," Cr Scheu said.
"There is no doubt that air conditioning of this facility will allow more functions to take place in the summer months and will certainly ensure a greater level of comfort than is currently experienced," he said.
