DONATIONS AND GRANTS
Council has available financial assistance to support community organisations that make a positive contribution to the quality of life in the Goondiwindi Regional Council area. Council has in place a Community Donations and Grants Policy to provide a platform on which decisions regarding allocation of donations and grants are to be based.
Community Donations Program Applications may be made at any time throughout the year, however completed application forms must be lodged a minimum of 30 days prior to the event or request for in-kind assistance. Donations will only be given up to and including $450.
Application for funds of $451 or more should be made under Council’s Community Grants Program.
Community Grants Program Organisations seeking funding of $451 or more are required to provide Council with detailed information regarding the proposed use of the funds and how this use would benefit the Community.
Funding will be provided on a ‘project’ or ‘program’ basis. An initial funding round is called for projects proposed to be undertaken in the current financial year.
All applications will be assessed against eligibility and selection criteria. Such applications will be assessed in an open and equitable manner. The level of assistance available is limited by Council’s budget decision. No applicant can be guaranteed funding nor can any applicant be guaranteed to receive the full amount requested.
Application forms for both programs and Council’s Community Grants & Donations Policy are available from Council’s Customer Service Centres and on its website
Please note that GRANT APPLICATIONS for Round 1 closed on FRIDAY 26 August 2016.
