How large is Goondiwindi Regional Council?
Covering an area of 19,294 square kms, Goondiwindi Regional Counci is home to approximately 10,720 people from Texas in the east to Weengallon in the west. The three larger towns of Goondiwindi, Inglewood and Texas are the primary hubs for a number of diverse communities scattered throughout the region, while Yelarbon, Toobeah, Bungunya and Talwood also play important roles in the social and economic lives of our rural residents.
Location?
A popular stop-over destination for travellers, the Goondiwindi Region is a major gateway to Queensland, located on the Western Downs border of Queensland and New South Wales. Goondiwindi in particular has been identified as a primary transport hub, with five State and National Highways converging at the town.
